I’m a day late this week, sorry. Still, better late than never!
I had a great week, meeting with some amazing suppliers and preparing for the next models I’ll be launching for Hamtun Watches. I also published some articles on building email lists for those of you that are considering starting something of your own.
Those articles are mentioned below but you’re here for the crowdfunding projects, so let’s get in to it.
Featured crowdfunding projects
The Alkin Model One Automatic Watch
I mentioned this one a few weeks ago before it launched, but now it’s ready. Designed by furniture designer Charlie Fowler in the UK and built by a factory that make some of the absolute best microbrand watches in the world, the alkin (still not sure how I should be capitalising that..) is already 92% funded and it’s only been live just over a day. As they are a competitor of mine I feel weird about promoting this one, but it’s such a lovely piece at such a fair price point that is seems wrong not too. Available now from £180 with a Seiko NH35a automatic movement. Go get one.
The Future of Mobile Filmmaking: Anamorphic, Battery, Gimbal
Moment make some great products for mobile filmmaking, and their latest release is no different. A collection of lenses, cases and batteries that will help turn your mobile phone (they support a few models, not just iPhone) in to an amazing mobile video camera. Check out the sample videos on the campaign page, and imagine what you could do with access to this kind of technology at a price that normals like us can afford!
